Actor Johnny Depp said his interpretation of Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean was not appreciated by customers from Disney. In an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, the actor said the former CEO Michael Eisner, "not tolerate" the way it plays. Depp went on to win an Oscar nomination for her performance.
A Disney spokesman said the company "could not be happier" in their work.
"The entire team at Disney could not be happier with the performance of Johnny Depp in the Pirates trilogy, which is why we are so thrilled to report a fourth installment to the public next summer," he added.
"I think it was Michael Eisner, Disney chief at the time, was quoted as saying," ruin the movie, "Depp said.
The actor also revealed that Mr. Eisner had doubts about whether he had "some kind of simpleton" or drunk, even when acting in the film. Depp is based on the well-known brand Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, who appeared in At World's End, the third film in the series from Dead Man's Chest, alongside Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom.
Depp is currently filming the fourth installment - On Stranger Tides - due out next year.
