United Airlines on Monday announced the schedule for its new service between Lagos and Washington DC, which is the airline's second destination in Africa.
The United States service at Lagos Murtala Muhammed related International Airport from 13 December with the departure of 991-US 9:30 p.m. After a stop in Accra, Ghana, will continue the flight to Washington DC arrived the next day at 6:11 United 990 leaves Washington Dulles International Airport daily at 22:43 arriving in Lagos 5:35 p.m. the next day, after a stopover in Accra.
"We are grateful to Mr Akuabata Fidelia Njeze, the Nigerian minister of aviation, Dr. Harold Demuren Director-General of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and their colleagues for their efforts to launch a new service between Washington, DC, and the lively city of Nigeria, "said Jeff Smisek, president and CEO of United Holdings Continental.
He added: "This service will facilitate increased trade and cultural ties between the U.S. and Nigeria, while offering new opportunities and convenience for travelers on both sides of the Atlantic."
Flights from Lagos will be operated with Boeing 767-US and international experience offers premium travel. Sales for the flight to begin on Tuesday.
