An effort has been driven in early stage New York Thora Birch. The 28 year old actress is best known for the films "American Beauty" and "Ghost World" was dropped from an off-Broadway revival of "Dracula" in the Little Theatre Shubert few weeks before opening.
Birch had been designated to play the love interest of Count Dracula. Now, his role will be filled by Emily Bridges, who is the daughter of Beau Bridges, who played a minor role.
The show's producers did not indicate why Birch has been released, but The New York Times reports that Jack Birch, her father and manager, disagreed with the back rubs the actor gave his second daughter.
The abolition of Birch has not changed the official opening of the series, scheduled for Jan. 5.
