President Barack Obama will host his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao on a state visit on January 19, the White House.
That would be the third state visit of President Obama. The first was that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in November 2009.
"The visit of President Hu Jintao, will emphasize the importance of enhancing cooperation between the U.S. and China on bilateral, regional and global levels, and the friendship between the peoples of our two countries," the White House , the press secretary, Robert Gibbs, said in a statement.
"The president looks forward to welcoming President Hu to Washington to continue building a society that advances our common interests and meet our common concerns," he said.
The President and First Lady hosted by President Hu and the official state dinner on the night of January 19.
