Discovery television channel said Friday it has canceled plans to air a re-enactment of the autopsy on the body of Michael Jackson, citing an upcoming hearing and concern for the state of the pop star.
The show, "Autopsy of Michael Jackson: What really killed Michael Jackson," had been set to air in several countries in Western Europe and the United Kingdom, January 13.
"Given the trial begins next week, and demand for goods of Michael Jackson, the autopsy the planned deployment of the medical evidence in connection with official Michael Jackson has been postponed indefinitely," Discovery Networks International said in a statement.
A spokesman declined to comment beyond the discovery of the statement. Co-executors of the estate have responded in its own statement saying they were "pleased" with the decision.
